is an innovative model from the South Korean automaker Hyundai, introduced in 2016. This car became the first in the world to be available at once in three different electrified versions: fully electric, hybrid and hybrid with the possibility of recharging from the household power grid. Hyundai Ionic belongs to the class of compact hatchbacks and stands out for its bright, stylish design, practical interior and advanced technologies. The powertrain lineup includes a hybrid unit and a plug-in hybrid based on a 141 hp 1.6-liter gasoline engine, as well as a 120 hp all-electric version. The average fuel consumption of hybrid versions is about 3.4–4.7 l/100 km. The drive is front only, the transmission is a 6-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches in hybrids or a gearbox in the electric model.
The model is produced in one generation. In 2019, the car underwent a planned update, receiving changes in the exterior and interior, as well as an expanded list of available safety and driver assistance systems.
