Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size frame SUV of the General Motors company, which has been produced since 1995 (since 1992 - in the form of the GMC Yukon, with which it is technically identical, except for some elements of the exterior and interior). Although it is believed that the Tahoe is built on the basis of a pickup truck, it is actually a short version of the Chevrolet Suburban, which appeared in parallel with the eighth generation of the latter.
The model is named after the high-altitude Lake Tahoe, located on the border of the American states of Nevada and California, which hints at the purpose of the car - traveling through rough terrain, forests and mountains. It is fully designed for this: it has all-wheel drive with the ability to connect, in particular, in motion, various off-road functions - differential lock, active suspension, many of which are installed on a used Chevrolet Tahoe as an option, high ground clearance (from 200-231 mm, depending from the generation), which can be further increased thanks to the frame structure.
Currently, the fifth generation of the model is being produced, which has by no means lost the original off-road potential of the first generations. Used Chevrolet Tahoe is very popular among lovers of active recreation, fishing, hunting and wildlife. Car accessory brands have long mastered the production of power bumpers, sills, kangaroos and lifting kits for this car, which are in great demand.

Although the first generation of the car had diesel engines and was even equipped with a manual transmission, the most common versions on the market were gasoline V8 engines from the Vortec family with a volume of 5.3 to 6.2 liters and a capacity of more than 300 hp, which optionally have the function FlexFuel, which allows them to use fuel containing alcohol. Gearboxes are only automatic, from 4-speed in the first two generations to automatic transmission-10 in the last. There are automatic transmissions with a manual gearshift function, as well as a special mode for towing a trailer - it can be connected to the Tahoe with a weight of up to 3900 kg.
The car feels great on the road thanks to the front independent and rear dependent suspensions, in many configurations, especially the latest generations, it has air suspension with several driving modes. Its price on the Ukrainian market can say a lot about the reliability and liquidity of the Chevrolet Tahoe — for cars in good technical condition, regardless of generation, it rarely falls below $10,000. American auctions offer a more affordable price tag — you can choose a high-quality car with low mileage.
