Opel Insignia station wagon has been produced since 2008. The series spans two generations, each of which features a five-door station wagon body. The model combines compact dimensions and a spacious interior.
The Insignia station wagon was produced separately for the European and American markets, and was also restyled several times. The salon was supplemented with dual-zone climate control, an improved audio system control panel and a safer steering wheel.
Several electronic systems are available to the driver: from traffic tracking to adaptive cruise control. The first generation is appreciated for a huge selection of engines with modern firmware and a long-lasting catalyst. Some of them are equipped with double turbocharging.
For the second generation, the platform was updated and the dimensions were significantly increased. All engines were produced with turbocharging. In 2022, the series was withdrawn from production, as it could not be converted into an electric car.
The Opel Insignia station wagon was produced specifically for the American market. The set usually includes the most modern safety systems, as well as an adaptive chassis for automatic adjustment of the suspension to the surface.
According to American law, a driver has no right to drive off with a dirty or defective car, not to mention more serious breakdowns. The police have the right to check even the regularity of technical inspection, as the safety of all road users depends on it.
An additional advantage was the tradition of traveling long distances by plane, so the car usually drives only on flat city roads and even after a few years receives little mileage.
